The whole concept and execution of his “Red Headed Stranger” LP of a few years earlier delivered some decent results for me, but this? Deary me. Willie does the American songbook is the dubious concept on offer. The recently turned 45-year-old sounds like he's got one foot in the door of the nursing home already. A platinum seller, met with universal acclaim. LOL!
