“A Call From The North” by The Wick Scottish Dance Band - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1973 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1970s |
At the core of the band in '73 were fiddler Addie Harper and accordionist Eann Nicolson, both of whom had been there since forming in Caithness in 1953. Usually a group of 5 or 6, they had a strong following on the back of touring relentlessly. They line up for this one: Addie Harper (fiddle, banjo, Hawaiian guitar), Eann Nicolson (accordion), Isobel Auld (piano), Hamish Auld (bass) and John Gunn (drums).
