“Made In Germany” by Wanda Jackson - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1967 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1960s |

In early 1965, Jackson was invited by the German distribution partner of Capitol Records, Electrola, to record in German, and the first single, “Santo Domingo [german version]”, proved to be such a success that a new love affair was born between Wanda and legions of fans in Germany. This album rounds up 16 of her German single sides, 1965 to 1967. “Der Mond Ist Der Freund Der Verliebten” (“The Moon Is The Friend Of The Lovers”) is fantastic but it cannot save the album's rating; much of this German pop leaves a horrible taste.
