“The Harder They Come” by Various Artists - album review

features in: (B-list) Album Chart of 1972(B-list) Album Chart of the 1970s

TJR says

The soundtrack album for the gritty film of the same name, which starred Jimmy Cliff as a poor-dreamer-turned-petty-gangster-turned-murderer doomed to an early death. Packed with hits 1969-1972, 5 of which were Jimmy himself's, the LP was a massive shot-in-the-arm for Reggae all over the world, especially in the USA.
