“Rage In Eden” by Ultravox - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1981 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1980s |
For the third consecutive time, the fifth Ultravox, released in September, 1981, was co-produced by Conny Plank at his Cologne studio, although the three-month-long sessions were reportedly marred by disagreements this time around. Not that this would be apparent to any outsiders looking on; they continue to plough their new furrow as purveyors of elegant synth pop and the two singles - “The Thin Wall” (#14) and “The Voice” (#16) - keep them in vogue and on Top of the Pops.
