Power Rock! Yeah! Not really. Some of this noodling and screaming does my nut in tbh. Popular opinion holds that The Who constantly improved from '65, peaking right here with “Who's Next”. Me? I'd say it was exactly the opposite; they've been on the slide since “My Generation”; from punk brilliance to theatre rock bores. They're not entirely a lost cause though, as the bookends demonstrate; “Baba O'Riley” justifies the bombast and the stones-esque “Won’t Get Fooled Again” has some meaty charm. All in all, not for this Jukebox Rebel.
