TJR says

In the disco era, an mbaqanga-soul fusion is proving to be popular in South Africa, and this release on the EMI subsidiary label, Ring Ring, is pitched at that market. The LP was produced by EMI's Roxy 'Black Cat' Butelezi, active since the late 60s as a player and a producer. It's too poppy too often to be loved by me, but it has its moments, with two cuts - “Mama Ka Sibongile” and “Sofasilahlane” - worth the cherry-picking.
