TJR says

These Garage Rockers out of L.A. were introduced to producer Dave Hassinger who believed they had talent, but lacked ability with the pen. He paired them up with songwriters Annette Tucker and Nancie Mantz and, between the lot of them, such wondrous artifacts as “I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night” (oscillating, reverse-play guitar, oo-er), “The King Is In The Counting House” and “Get Me To The World In Time” were duly created. It’s an imaginative set, best labelled as west coast psychedelia – but with some intriguing twists and turns that suggest all-sorts from Russian traditionals to centuries-old folk stylings to easy listening lounge, before returning to the base garage sound. Sometimes it’s best not to think but just to be in the moment. That would seem to be the motto that works best for The Electric Prunes experience…
