TJR says

The first album for the British market, released in April 1964. I can see the strategic point to it - all material was fresh to the UK market, no singles at the time of it’s release. The lead single would be “Can’t You See That She’s Mine”, pretty much released within a few weeks of the album. 2 tracks repeat from the American debut from the previous month - “Time” and “She’s All Mine”. The album features 9 originals and 3 covers. It’s the covers which sum up the strange contradictions within the band – from the garage cool of Link Wray’s “Rumble” to the family friendly Disney vibe of “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah”. It’s not as bad as “Doo Dah” from the previous album but come on, what are you guys all about it? Aside from these dodgy side show shenanigans the set lacks the vitality of the “Glad All Over” album, with quite a few rather lame moments. Forget that pounding Tottenham sound already. These are the new Bournemouth Beatles…
