“Stack-O-Tracks” by The Beach Boys - album review
features in: (B-list) Album Chart of 1968 ● (B-list) Album Chart of the 1960s |

Authentic Beach Boys karaoke. That Capitol Records didn’t miss a trick eh? This “budget-price issue” was “a gift to those who want to hear what’s going on beneath the lush harmonies”. “Stack-O-Tracks” features fifteen instrumental versions of their top tunes recorded between July 1963 – June 1968. It IS a little treasure mind you, and it WAS budget priced. “Sloop John B” is especially magnificent in the raw. A bit like myself ;-)
