“My Cherie Amour” by Stevie Wonder - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1969 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1960s |

I just can't take to Stevie Wonder the album artist, but he has his odd moments. Kudos for having the taste to have a go at “Light My Fire”, even though team Stevie could never hope to hold a candle to The Doors. Side two houses the top 2 tracks; his own “Somebody Knows, Somebody Cares” skips and grooves and comes complete with some neat mouth harp, whilst his cover of “Yester-Me, Yester-You, Yesterday” (Chris Clark, 1966) is soulful and classy.
