“Music Of My Mind” by Stevie Wonder - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1972 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1970s |

Wonder embraces the moog as we enter '72; “the synthesizer has allowed me to do a lot of things I've wanted to do for a long time but were not possible till it came along.” The bookends aren't too terrible - as RoboVoice he backs himself on the funky “Love Having You Around”, and the epic-sounding “Evil” serves well as the finale - but, for me, it's a tiresome R n B endurance test in-between. His worst since the dire “Eivets Rednow” in 1968. Or, one of the 500 Greatest Albums of All-Time if you wanna go with Rolling Stone.
