TJR says

Debut album from the 24-year-old singer-songwriter who makes Elton John seem like Sid Vicious. The drummer seems terrified of his kit half the time. The ever-tasteless record-buying public in America gave it the thumbs up, placing two singles - “Save It For A Rainy Day” (#22) and “On And On” (#11) - in the Billboard 100. The album itself rose to #34. Adding their “talents” like a dysfunctional Carpenters family without the charm were: Chaka Khan (backing vocals), Eric Clapton (guitar) and Art Garfunkel (backing vocals). Easily, this is the worst LP I've ever heard in my life. One of these days, I shall take great pleasure in staging a ceremonial destruction; to see this 12" piece of drastic plastic exploding into a million tiny pieces would be a relief.
