“We’re Almost Home” by Solomon Burke - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1972 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1970s |

The 3rd and final LP for MGM. 1 back album track repeats - “We’re Almost Home” (Cool Breeze, 1972). Nothing interesting or exciting to report on this one. The general lack of creative spark is best exemplified in the fact that the two best tracks are cover versions, as Solomon tips his hat to Ray Charles on “Drown In My Own Tears” and “Cant Stop Loving You”.
