The single “Wonderful World” was Sam’s parting gift to Keen Records in the springtime of 1960. The label milked it with an attempt at creating this “new” LP released in November 1960. Not to be confused (as it often is) with later compilations, "The Wonderful World Of Sam Cooke" (Keen 8-6106) was his 5th and final LP for the soon to be deceased L.A. indie, but was indeed a compilation itself, rounding up sides previously released 1958-1960 with one previously unreleased track – a reworked version of the old Soul Stirrers hit “That’s Heaven To Me”. The album is ruled out of the A-list on the grounds that two of the tracks had already appeared on the “Hit Kit” LP of 1958 (“You Were Made For Me” and “Blue Moon”) and “Summertime” is a reworked version of the track which had appeared on the debut LP back in 1958.
