Arriving in February, 1967, was the debut LP from this soulful Folkie, landing somewhere between Bob Dylan and Tim Buckley, with his thoughtful lyrics and earnest playing. Although he'd been a Greenwich scenester since the 1950s, he was a late starter when it came to picking up guitar, aged 36 when this long-player was first issued, and the instantly mature sound of the record suggests this was a positive.
