Some early copies of this LP were originally mis-titled as 1935-1939 - recordings span 1935-1949 and none were recorded in 1939. The compile was issued in 1970 on LP (Yazoo L-1023). It was later re-issued with 2 extra tracks on CD in 1994 as “The Complete Early Recordings” (Yazoo CD 2011 YAZ).
