Recorded in 1965 by Pete Welding. Team Otis line-up: Otis Spann (vocals, piano, organ), Johnny Young (guitar), Jimmy Lee Morris (bass), Jimmy Cotton (harmonica) and Robert Whitehead (drums). The set includes 5 reworkings from previous LPs, hence the “b” status. For the record these are: “Sarah Street” (The Blues Of Otis Spann, 1964), “Worried Life Blues” (Otis Spann Is The Blues (1960), “Spann’s Boogie” (Portraits In Blues Vol.3, 1963), “See See Rider” (See See Rider, 1964) and “Mr. Jelly Roll Baker” (Portraits In Blues Vol.3, 1963).
