“No Sleep ’Til Hammersmith” by Motörhead - album review
features in: (B-list) Album Chart of 1981 ● (B-list) Album Chart of the 1980s ● 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die |
A huge success for them after the success with the “Ace Of Spades” single and album, this live set, recorded in March and April, 1981, made #1 in the UK album charts. They released the live version of “Motörhead” as a single and it gave them their biggest-ever hit single, reaching #6 in the UK charts. The album does a great job of capturing their energy and spirit: 'This is dedicated to a fine body of men, it's called “(We Are) The Road Crew”' Good lads, see?
