TJR says

Originally done by Russ Columbo in 1932, James Brown revived “Prisoner of Love” and released it as a single in April 1963. It was his first recording to enter the Billboard Pop Top 20, reaching #18. The resulting album was built around a similar set of stylish soulful ballads, mostly culled from recent singles but including 4 tracks from previous LP’s spanning 1959-1961.
