“Warm Leatherette” by Grace Jones - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1980 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1980s |
A big improvement here, although these are mostly all cover versions. Sly and Robbie’s slight push to reggae dub production style helps to give Ms Jones some much needed credibility. Having said that, it’s only her version of Chrissie Hyndes’ “Private Life” (7.9) that really stands out.
