Grammy-award winning, radio-friendly middle-of-the-road fare from the five-piece, all of whom were in the slipstream of romantic splits and divorces, which naturally informs much of the tone and lyrical content. They line-up: Lindsey Buckingham (27, guitars, dobro, percussion, vocals), Stevie Nicks (28, vocals), Christine McVie (33, keyboards, synthesizer, vocals), John McVie (31, bass guitar) and Mick Fleetwood (29, drums, percussion, harpsichord). The album was a big commercial success, hitting #1 in both the US and the UK (surprisingly their first UK Top 10 of the 1970s), and spawned four Billboard Top 10 hit singles; “Go Your Own Way” (#10), “Dreams” (#1), “Don't Stop” (#3) and “You Make Loving Fun” (#9). Had you woke from a seven year coma, you simply would not believe this sappy serving was related to the same semi-cool blues-rock band led by Peter Green in the late 1960s.
