“That’s The Way Of The World” by Earth, Wind and Fire - album review

A huge #1 hit album stateside, highly acclaimed by the critics, and regarded by many as their crowning glory. The album served as the soundtrack LP for the film of the same name which depicted the dirty music business, and featured the group themselves. As you'd imagine with a nine-piece there's a lot going - it's soulful, funky, latin, brassy and jazzy but there's not a single track which resonates with me; Phillip Bailey’s jarring falsetto gets on my nerves and the music's all so… offensively accomplished.
