“Cosmo’s Factory” by Creedence Clearwater Revival - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1970 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1970s ● 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die ![]() |

The fifth album from the group was released in the summer of 1970 and was another massive hit for them, topping the album charts in six countries. They lined up: John Fogerty (lead guitar, lead vocals, piano, electric piano, keyboards, saxophone, harmonica), Tom Fogerty (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Stu Cook (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Doug Clifford (drums, cowbell). It's the most varied of the three albums that I've heard so far, from Country to Blues Rock to Americana to pure original Rock n Roll. Not too bad in places, but their swamp rock core will never truly win me over.
