“Bio” by Chuck Berry - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1973 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1970s |
Backed by Stan Bronstein and Rick Frank’s band “Elephant’s Memory” (who had famously served as Lennon/Ono’s “Plastic” band), this was yet another un-remarkable record of session blues, although the opening and closing tracks “Bio” and “Talkin’ About My Buddy” have a sense of sexiness which has been lacking in recent Berry albums.
