“Tea For The Tillerman” by Cat Stevens - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1970 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1970s ● 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die ![]() |

The fourth album from the multi-talented Londoner who wrote all the songs, sang, played all sorts of guitars and keyboards, and created the artwork. Good looking too, he'd make you sick really. Musically, it's all just a tad too safe for my tastes, but the opening holds appeal with the dreamy and melodic “Where Do The Children Play?”, the lilting “Wild World” and the piano/strings classiness of “Sad Lisa” all nuzzling in to fill up the senses.
