Buck Owens was hugely successful at this time, racking up a string of country #1 hits. His delivery on this critically acclaimed set was typified by his key ingredients during this period - his plaintive harmonies and Don Rich's twangy telecaster. There are a couple of decent moments here and there, but I'm never in any danger of getting too excited.
