“Six Plus One” by Black Slate - album review

The fourth album from the 10-year-old London group, still basking in the glow of their national breakthrough hit, “Amigo”. Veering between the roots-rockers and the lovers-rock, it's a bit of a patchy set for my sensibilities, although very good in places. Three singles were lifted from the LP: “Rasta Reggae”, “Sticks Man” (a remake of their '76 single) and “Look What Love Has Done”. Comes with a bonus dub LP.
