The final Black Sabbath album to feature Ozzy Osbourne as the band’s lead singer starts promisingly with the “Boys Are Back In Town” vibe of “Never Say Die”. It proves, however, to be a misleading opener as the album proceeds to serve up loads of synth action, lots of lead guitar solos, and ends up being another torturous vist to Dullsville with only the slightest hints of the old stoner vibe.
