“School’s Out” by Alice Cooper - album review

Fifth album from the Phoenix, Arizona shock-rockers who line up: Alice Cooper (vocals), Glen Buxton (lead guitar), Michael Bruce (rhythm guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Dennis Dunaway (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Neal Smith (drums, backing vocals). The “School's Out” single gave the group an unlikely #1 in the UK, very much fitting in with the burgeoning glamrock scene of the day. All in all, a marked improvement on his “Love It To Death” album of '71, although rebel thrills are virtually non-existent, some wonderfully wonky keyboard moments in “Gutter Cat vs. The Jets” excepted.
